What do we believe?
Global Mission Nepali Church is a Bible believing congregation. Our simple statement of faith is states following:
I: God—There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth and humankind and all things. He created all things for his glory. In the Godhead, there are three persons.
-
- God the Father
- God the Son
- His incarnation virgin birth
- His holy life
- His deity and humanity
- His death and resurrection
- His ascension to heaven, second coming, and day of judgment
- God the Holy Spirit
II: Scripture—The Bible is the inspired word of God (1 Timothy 3:16).
III: Humanity and the Fall—God created both man and woman. Because of their disobedience to God, they are separated from God.
IV: Salvation—Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ.
V: Ordination: Baptism and Communion—Baptism does not grant one salvation. It is a symbol of new life in Christ. Communion does not grant one a special grace. It is a remembrance of our Lord’s death and resurrection.
VI: Church—The church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers.
VII: Christian work for social cause—Orthodox beliefs always result in good actions for society and government.
VIII: Second Coming of Christ—Christian hope is based on the second coming of Christ.
IX: The Day of Judgment—In the last days, Christ will judge the righteous and unrighteous. The righteous will spend eternity in heaven, and the unrighteous will spend eternity in hell.
Global Mission Nepali Church affirms and bases its doctrinal statement of faith on the Lausanne Covenant of evangelical Churches. https://www.lausanne.org/content/covenant/lausanne-covenant#cov
